Unlike most other big boring reviews that just re-cap features here is why we moved to WPX and why I think it’s the best value premium WordPress hosting service.

1. Why the pay per visitor is bad for most sites.

We were hosting with Kinsta which according to ReviewSignal is one of best performing WP hosts in every price range. I have to agree that their performance and support is top notch and would have never moved away if those were our only criteria.

But the problem is their pricing. Kinsta counts visitors based on server logs which in our case was 5x higher than the real human users reported by Google Analytics.

It is their business model, and they can charge whatever they want but to end up paying $5 for 1000 real visitors does not make business sense for us. I don’t care how they count visitors, what matters is how much they charge for real visitors.

Below are the screenshots for the past 30 days showing our Kinsta Analytics and Google Analytics.

With the way WPX prices their service we can have almost 20 times more traffic on the similar price plan (their $25/month plan allows 50Gb of bandwidth, and we were soon maxing out the $30/month plan on Kinsta).

2. Brendan Tully from WP Speed Fix recommends it.

He is the go-to guy in several Facebook groups I am part of when it comes to WordPress speed optimization. WPXHosting and WP Engine are his top 2 recommended hosts.

3. WPX support is amazing. They reply instantly to tickets 24/7, and migrated the site within a few hours for free.

4.  Website speed is the most important and WPX Hosting performs even better than expected.

WPX doesn’t have a custom developed caching plugin. However, they install and configure with their best-recommended settings the W3 Total Cache.

Here are before and after screenshots. Keep in mind the comparison is to one of the best and most expensive hosts, Kinsta.

By no means I claim that WPX servers are faster or that this is a proper scientific test. I took this screenshots to have a quick comparison after the migration. *We also already added a few lines of code as we installed PushAlert, so that is why the page size is slightly bigger now.

The first impression was so good! (fast website loading with an unbeatable price among premium WordPress hosts). Because of that I decided to promote them as an affiliate and reached out to them for a coupon code for our readers – yes YOU 🙂

Use the coupon code UPJOURNEY during checkout, and you will get the first month of the business plan for $1 instead of $25.
